Why Do I Need A Website Care & Maintenance Plan?
Maybe you don’t if you’re already a WordPress expert! But even if you are, perhaps you simply want to spend more time building your business instead of worrying whether your website is running smoothly and available.
We can take the stress away by ensuring your site is up and available with monitoring every 15 minutes, while also ensuring any available WordPress Core, Plugin, and Theme updates are applied AFTER making a full backup of your site. While “auto” updates may be fine for non-business websites, they are not suitable for any business website – even WordPress recommends that a backup be made BEFORE any update is applied:
Back up your database regularly, and always before an upgrade.

While your hosting company may provide a backup service, the fact is backups should always be stored remotely outside of the data center that your website is hosted. Many hosting companies simply backup your site and provide a copy that you can download and store on your home/business laptop or PC. But most people will not do this every day.
Our backup process is to store not just in one remote data center but in two different data centers in different cities for ultimate protection.
Why Should I Backup Before Updating?
While it doesn’t happen often, we’ve seen it before: WordPress releases an update and some plugin developer didn’t have the time or the chance to update and release a plugin compatible with the new version of WordPress core. Then, your website goes blank. If you had automatic updates and weren’t checking your website, you may not even know about the coding conflict and your site will be down until it’s fixed. What wants downtime?
When this happens, when you’ve made a full backup, you can immediately revert to the previous version of your WordPress Core and plugins while you investigate what may have caused the issue. We’ll look after this for you!
Our other packages also include a “staging” site where we can apply updates on that site to test for conflicts before applying them to your live site. This offers even more confidence that your live site will always be available.
