Victoria Day Weekend 2015 – Our Availability

In Canada, we celebrate the Monday before May 25th as “Victoria Day,” a holiday that honours Queen Victoria and is sometimes known as “The Queen’s Birthday.” Additionally, it’s also fondly called the “May Two-Four Weekend.” Canadians often look forward to this holiday as the first one of the warmer weather and many will open their cottages on this weekend, or take their first camping trip of the year, taking advantage of the fact it is a “long weekend.”

It’s common to have fireworks displays on the Monday night.

For many parts of Canada, especially southern Ontario, the May Two-Four weekend is when it is usually considered safe to put gardens in, with the risk of frost not as likely after the May holiday. However, spring time in Canada can be variable and while many have memories of beautiful warm sunshine on the weekend, we can also experience chilly days and nights as well.  But whatever the weather, we know summer is getting closer after a long dreary winter.

Here at The Ian Scott Group, we’ll be taking some time off to enjoy the weekend, but we also know that your servers, websites and other needs don’t take holidays. With that in mind, we’ll be on standby should you experience some urgent business need that needs attention. Urgent business needs include:

  • Server Issues
  • Email Problems
  • Website Security
  • Website Outage Issues

and perhaps a few other things that may come up but not mentioned above.

The telephone may not be answered immediately, but someone will be checking messages regularly and monitoring our own systems. If you have an urgent issue that requires attention, please give us a call and we’ll be pleased to get back to you to assist.

Hopefully, everyone has a safe and happy holiday no matter what your plans are! We also realize that this is not a Holiday Weekend for our American clients and we’ll give that special consideration for other issues that they may need on Monday.

Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend from The Ian Scott Group!
