PairoWoodies – What Happened?

After 15 years, the principals of PairoWoodies have decided its time to move on in their own directions. I am proud of what I accomplished with that business, starting back in about 1997 when the “Internet” was new and the majority of people were only starting to hear about it. Most people in North America did not even have Internet access at that time, and over the years we’ve watched as the digital age has drastically changed how we communicate, share, relate with others and do business.

Many in 1997 thought the Internet was a passing fad, while others held a different extreme point of view during the “dot-com bubble” and of course lost a lot of money in the big bust of the year 2000. Today we know it was no fad, and the internet has matured into what most of us now see as an essential media for almost every part of our lives.

PairoWoodies, one business that was started out of the faith that the internet was no passing fad and it would be vital for businesses in the future to have a digital presence in some form or other.  The “funny name” came about when the two business partners discovered they had the same nickname when they were teens: Woody. And funny names were all the rage as the internet began to grow in both traffic and importance.

We’re proud that we still have our very first customer, and to this day, many have used the services of the business for a decade or more.  The year 2015 brings new beginnings in many ways, but The Ian Scott Group will continue to provide the same (and perhaps new ones as well) services to existing clients while we also build our business and help others to make use of the many advantages of marketing and branding to build their own businesses.

The Ian Scott Group looks forward to continuing to serve the customers and clients of the former PairoWoodies as well as welcome new ones!
